Alvin V. Baird Attention and Learning Disabilities Center

Our Mission

The mission of the Alvin V. Baird Attention and Learning Disabilities Center is to develop and promote evidence-based early interventions for children with attention and learning challenges, while educating families, teachers, students, and professionals about best practices for their assessment and treatment.

Attention and learning factors are present across a range of developmental and psychological disorders, which are the focus of activities at the Baird Attention and Learning Disabilities Center. These include Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; and Disruptive Disorders such as Oppositional Defiance.
